Endocrinology

Our Department of Endocrinology was established in 1995. The department has a great impact on the field of endocrinology in Hunan Province with advanced research, diagnosis and treatment of endocrine diseases, especially diabetes.  In recent years, a series of new techniques are applied which improves dramatically clinical results, such as Roux-en-Y gastric gastrointestinal bypass surgery and insulin pump on islet function of patients with type-2 diabetes. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry for measuring bone mineral density. What’s more, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy has also successfully applied in clinical practice for obesity patients.

Our Department has over 41 health care professionals, including 1 professors, 3 associate professors, 7 attending doctors, 2 resident doctors, 27 technologists with 80 authorized beds.
