On the June 19, as the team members of the twentieth foreign aid group of Hunan Province to Sierra Leone, associate professor Yang Jianfu from the Urology Department, head nurse Long Yanquan from the 120 Emergency Center and doctor Hou Changzheng from Anesthesia Department of Third Xiangya Hospital were embarked on the journey to carry out the one-year foreign aid work in Sierra Leone. Party Secretary He Qingnan, Presiden Zhang Guogang, Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Jinqiang, Prof. Fan Zili, Director Hu Pingan from Human Resource Department and Director Ding Siqing from Nursing Department of our hospital saw them off at the airport.

The three foreign aid group members from our hospital expressed their determination on overcoming all difficulties once they arrived in Sierra Leone. During the stay in Africa, they said they would live up to their duties and responsibilities and spare no efforts in doing medical aid works and help to relieve pain for local patients and contribute themselves to improve the quality of medical services in Sierra Leone.

Party Secretary He Qingnan and President Zhang Guogang hoping that the three members would promote the healers spirit vigorously and always keep in mind their obligation, which is to respect life, heal the wounded, devoted to work and have boundless love to all. Thus, making a contribution to improve health conditions in Sierra Leone and enhance the traditional friendship between China and Sierra Leone in order to build up a community with common future between China and Africa. They also pointed out that the three members should ensure their own safety during their one-year stay in Africa as well.
