DELEGATION FROM NEPAL BHARATPUR HOSPITAL VISITS THIRD XIANGYA HOSPITAL

On afternoon of March 9, the management and trauma team led by Chaiman Rajkumar Rajbhandari and Executive Director Rudra Prasad Marasini from Bharatpur Hospital of Nepal visited Third Xiangya Hospital of CSU. The delegation was greeted by President Chen Fangping and Vice-president Zhu Shaihong. Related departments directors and surgeons participated the activity, which was hosted by Dr. Liu Xinchun, the Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department.


At the beginning of symposium, President Chen extended a warm welcome to the Nepal Bharatpur Hospital on behalf of our hospital and hoped they could observe and learn more different advanced health-care and medical services from us in order to establish mutual beneficial partnership based on the Belt and Road Initiative ("B&R"). He said that the Third Xiangya Hospital, as a member of national public medical team, is willing to seek for further cooperation and friendship not only with developed countries but also developing countries. Nepal and China are friendly neighbors sharing common mountains and rivers, both sides have established firm friendship and sound cooperative relations since the establishment of 60-year diplomatic ties.

During the symposium, Vice-president Zhu introduced our hospital by elaborating the history, development, clinical characteristics, talents, scientific research and teaching, and international cooperation and exchange to the delegation. He said our hospital was widely known for its “Diversity development, Quality service and Efficient function” model in transforming healthcare for the benefit of patients with the brand advantages of transplantation medicine, minimally invasive medicine and health management. As a teaching hospital, President Zhu said, we also pay closer attention to the education of international students, in which 8 of them are from Nepal.


Guests from Bharatpur Hospital expressed their admiration for the past 29 years achievements what Third Xiangya Hospital have made and looking forward to the future exchange and cooperation.

After the meeting, the delegation observed the Da Vinci Robotic and the domestic Miaoshou Robotic surgical operations; they also visited the health management center. Both sides had an in-depth discussion on health-care administration and clinical technology development.
